Whether you’re driving or using our fine public transportation system Columbia Heights’ convenient location makes us easy to reach no matter what direction you’re coming from. And best of all the Columbia Heights Green Line subway stop opened September 18, 1999. Our virtual subway line is also operating. The trip is free so please hop on and exit at the Columbia Heights Station.

PSA 411

We are the 11th neighborhood or PSA under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC led by Lt. Charnette Robinson & Councilmember Jim Graham. Our boundaries are Perry Pl to the North, Holmead Pl to the East, Park Road to the South and 16th St to the West. We are comprised of concerned residents & business owners who have a stake in the success of the area. We will work with District agencies and other companies and organizations to make our neighborhoods cleaner and safer.

We want to enjoy peaceful neighborhoods, ones that are free of drugs, crime, abandoned automobiles, vacant and abandoned homes, disrespectful neighbors, trash, graffiti, and homeless issues. We want our elderly residents to live in comfort, without worrying about being victims to scams and con artists. We want our youth to be productive, progressive, nurtured and safe. We want for our Spanish-speaking community more opportunities for dialogue, communication, partnerships and understanding. We want for our grandchildren and their grandchildren a community where they can safely play outside, acquire quality education, receive equal opportunities for successful careers and arrive at adulthood having received healthy upbringings. In essence, we want what any ordinary group of citizens would want and we invite those who share our dreams to join us in making it happen.

PSA-414 boundaries are New Hampshire Ave and Rock Creek Church Rd to the North, Park Place to the East, Harvard St to the South and Sherman Ave to the West. “The mission of the PSA 414 Orange Hat Patrol is to encourage each resident to contribute a little time and effort to improve the neighborhood in which we live. To aggressively address minor community issues, before they become major neighborhood problems. To encourage all residents to act collectively to bring community and city resources to bear in an effort to foster a neighborhood environment in which we, as individuals, families and neighbors, will feel secure and safe. And to develop a community where our children will be nourished, and encouraged, as they move towards reaching their full potential.”
